Description

Addax

The Addax Ozone is your do it all midrange. A true point and shoot disc that will be your workhorse from 300 and in. When thrown flat the Addax will hold that straight flight with a very mild finish to it. When throw on an anny it will hold that anny for 80% of the flight then slowly flatten out and land as soft as a baby cloud holding puppies. When thrown on a hyzer it will hold that gentle hyzer all the way to the ground. Fast out of the hand but a very soft and predictable finish is what the Addax will give you. Tell all the other midranges to buzzz off and to tell the truth… the Addax is superior!

Species Facts:

Critically Endangered

Today, the addax, a nomadic desert-living species, is the most threatened ungulate in the Sahara and quite possibly the world, and is listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List.

The addax, also known as the white antelope and the screwhorn antelope, is an antelope native to the Sahara Desert. The only member of the genus Addax, it was first described scientifically by Henri de Blainville in 1816.
Mass: 210 lbs (Adult)
Scientific name: Addax nasomaculatus
Trophic level: Herbivorous
Gestation period: 263 days
Nickname: the white antelope
Family: Bovidae

The addax is just about as close to extinction in the wild as it possibly could be, and is classified as critically endangered by the IUCN. In a 2016 report, the IUCN said a survey had found only three in the wild. While hunting and removal of live addaxes is illegal in Niger, the animals have suffered “massive disturbance” from oil installations operated by the China National Petroleum Corporation, the report said. Also, soldiers assigned to protect the oil wells have been hunting and poaching addaxes.

While extinction in the wild may be all but imminent, zoos have a large population of addaxes. According to Encyclopedia Britannica, there are more than 2,000 addaxes in on private ranches and in American and European zoos. It may be possible to reintroduce addax to their native areas through this population.

  1. Randall Salazar (verified owner)

I find that the ozone addax is actually more stable than it seems. What I love about it is that if you put in on a slight annhizer line it goes for days with reliable fade, but it holds whatever line you but it on at same time.

  2. Drew Coleman (verified owner)

I love this disc!! It’s such a straight shooter. It hold whatever line you throw it on. I throw it all over the course. Can’t wait to buy some replacements!
